I just want to say thanks again for all your help. I have been for 2 walks today with Stevie.

The first walk was around Haddington after buying one if the slip leads you recommended and making a similar setup with a rope attachment.

We walked alongside the river and she walked really well with the lead dragging along beside her. I only had to step on it a few times but she generally came back into place and walked between me and my wife.

The second walk was just from the house on the slip lead and she was like a completely different dog. Normally she would sniff and refuse to walk certain ways but she walked alongside me very well with the lead loose. We practiced stopping and crossing the road and she responded very well.

You were right, best £40 I have spent.

I have already recommended you to a couple if people i know and i will definitely be in touch if I have any more questions/issues.

Alasdair was recommended by a friend after we adopted a 15 month old labrador who'd had little previous experience of discipline in his life! Alasdair's "firm but fair" approach has been exactly what we needed (both us and the dog!) and we couldn't believe the difference after only a couple of sessions.Based on our experience, I would have no hesitation in recommending Take the Lead

Take the Lead have helped me with great advice and tips to stop my spaniel's lead-pulling and improve his recall.  Even just one session resulted in a marked difference.  Advice was friendly and supportive and I feel we've both benefited.  Walking on the lead is more of a pleasure and less of a chore.

Alasdair has helped me with my dogs' behavioural problems with other dogs and there has been a big improvement there.  He also offers excellent home care for them while I am away.  Alasdair is trustworthy and reliable and coupled with a good sense of humour, has a genuine affection and understanding of dogs.

As first time dog owners, with a lively Wired Haired Fox Terrier puppy, we are keen to develop skills for raising a well behaved, happy dog.  Alasdair was recommended to us by a friend and his consultation was fascinating, fun and extremely helpful.  He has shown us how to be calm and assertive, using simple, effective training techniques.  It is also reassuring to know that he is always available to answer any questions that should arise in the future.

Many thanks, Alasdair

Alasdair saved the day when our working cocker was getting rather wilful at 9 months of age.  I now know she will come to me on demand and come to the whistle when we need it out in the wind.  He has managed to train her without knocking the character out of her and due to him, she has become an adorable reliable family pet.  He now walks her whenever we need the extra help. Thank-you Alasdair!

Alasdair has made a huge difference to how we work with and enjoy our dogs.  Supporting us to tackle everything from chronic deer chasing to coaching us on developing our dogs' working skills. As well as results, we like the way he does his work tailoring the session to get the best outcome for our dogs.  It's definitely not a one size fits all approach.  We've benefited from one to one sessions and his ability to bring two or three dogs together with complimentary needs. In short, good value, trustworthy and extremely good at what he does.
